So you wanna make a video huh ?

OMG!  What a crazy weekend!

     So I  filmed the first Episode of Cooking Con Chicas.  Wow the amount of editing will be phenomenal! BUT, on the plus side, the bread turned out perfect and it was delicious! Wednesday we will work on editing and see if I can post it.  We'll also be deciding  what we want to make on the next episode of Cooking Con Chicas and gather ingredients.  So, Is it gauche to tell people they can donate to keep the show going?

     Sunday night, Hubby Bubby (that's Frank to the rest of you) surprised me by renting The Awakening.  I LOVED IT!  I was so completely impressed, I went back to the first scene when the credits were rolling and watched it again from the beginning.  GREAT couple of twists in the ending.  Totally did not see it coming.

     Here's the thing.  I love movies.  NO REALLY, I love movies.  And I can usually guess what's going to happen (especially in suspense horror movies) pretty quickly.  My record?  Ten minutes into Secret Window, I knew what was going on.  Not because it was a bad movie.  In fact exactly the opposite.  It really is another one of my favorite movies.  But something just told me the ending.  I, of course, blurt it out and ruined the movie for Hubby Bubby.  So, now, if I know an ending, I am not allowed to tell!

     What types of movies do you like?  Are you pretty good about figuring them out?

Back...Back in the St. Pete Groove!

Ok so the actual title of the KISS song is Back in the New York Groove!  And I love the song, I love the band and I love Gene Simmons....Don't Judge me!!!!!!! 

So, Things have been a roller coaster of emotion and trials and tribulations.   But here I am!  Living, Kicking Butt and taking names!!!! 

Things going here are going to be amazing soon.  Mumsy and I are starting a cooking vlog.  Yup, Cooking Con Chicas will be going live in the next week or so.  I'm gonna be cross blogging I think.  I'm also hoping to self publish a cookbook.  About stories and recipes my mom shares with me so they are not lost to our younger generations.  I want my nieces and their babies to have these recipes and prepare them for their own families.  

I should have done one at Christmas for Pastelles.  Mom says that was the last time she's ever making them but this year we will be making them again so I can do a Noche Buena (Christmas Eve for you non Latins out there)  version of the show/cookbook.  

 Right now, we will be concentrating on artisan breads as we've found e-books with LOTS of recipes.

Monday, MONday MONDAY!

....Guess what today is.  If you guessed Monday, you are correct!   That's right kiddies, it's Monday.  I am not a huge fan of Mondays if i must be brutally honest. 

I've come to the realization that my alarm clock is jealous of the amazing relationship I have with my bed.  Thus she must destroy it by screaming at me til I pay her some attention.  Bitch. 

This weekend I got to spend some quality time with an AMAZINGLY amazing woman...My Mommy!  

Fourth of July is Wednesday.  I have the day off from work.  Now, days off in the middle of the week ave their good sides and bad sides.  I mean I LOVE having that day in the middle of the week to just recoup.  The sucky part is I can't really do much, I have to get back to bed kinda early so I can get up and go to work for two more days!  Ah, well, best to just enjoy what I have.  So I will be spending a quiet day with Mummy, Dadums, and my awesome Hubby Bubby (that's Frank to the rest of you).  Probably cook up some hot dogs and chill out.

Oh MAN!  I can't believe I missed a post already.    Maybe because I was super tired, or just happy and excited about the things that are transpiring.  Maybe both.  I'm going to go with Both and not that I just forgot like a ditz.  

So anyway, it's Friday!  My second favorite F word.....What?  Don't judge me!

So last night I tried a craft I found on Pintrest.  (You remember me going on and on about Pintrest right?)  I am currently waiting for it to dry.  Once it's done that, then I will post my review of it and if all goes well, pictures too.

Good things

You know, as often as I sometimes think, Life is out to get me, every once in a while a glimmer of hope shines through.

What did I learn today?  I learned that being a good person has it's advantages.  

And what did that lesson teach me?  It taught me that sometimes, after you scrape the muck off your shoes, you come out bettter.  

Sometimes it takes a while to see it, but you are a better person for getting rid of the things that hold you down.

My eyes are open.  I'm so blessed.  I have a fabulous family, great friends, a loving husband,  and a job.  Things are looking up from here.

So, is anyone else entranced by Pintrest?  You've heard of it right?  In case you live under some sort of object where you never get the light of day, here is a link.

I am in LOVE with Pintrest!  Let me give you a brief description.  Pintrest is an online cork board so to speak.  And it is amazing.  All those little things where you think "Gee, where did so and so learn to do that?"  Or "Wow I love this product, where can I find it"  they are all there.  

As the crafty little minx that I am, I dived in to see what I could see after the lady I work with mentioned it to me, then Hubby Bubby(That's Frank to the rest of you) told me about it and took me to the site.  I have not stopped since!  I've got my own private Pintrest account (nothing naughty just stuff I love) and will be starting one for the blog as well.    Will let you know as soon as it's ready!
